I am always on the hunt for ways to improve my sales & communication game. I am a big believer in strong customer service, client experience and a “non-salesy” sales approach. The idea that I could gain insight into a person’s preference for receiving information and conversing before I speak to them, (other than the usual clues you get form the way they carry themselves/dress etc…) was just mind-blowing for me. As soon as I found out what Alan did and was introduced to the course, I signed up immediately! I expected to learn methods for quickly reading people to adjust my personal communication style to match the way they like to converse in the first instant. I also was looking to find ways to maximise internal relationships within my management team. I received exactly this and a lot more from the course! The personal insight I received from Alan’s profiling was an additional extra and key for nailing some challenges I was facing within my own workspace. The growth in self-awareness I achieved from his report enabled me to adapt how I showed up in team meetings to suit the others…rather than just being frustrated and wishing they would do things differently! And it also motivated me to adjust where and when I did particular types of work to maximise my productivity and reduce my stress levels. Sounds small, but honestly life changing.
To other small business owners considering doing the course, I strongly recommend the following - DO IT!! Even if you don't become a profiling master, the simple methods Alan covers in the course will stick with you. These tools are particularly useful for those first face-to-face business or networking encounters (that includes on everyone's new favourite, Zoom!). Those first opening seconds of that first encounter, as you know, are so important for relationship building. I would suggest that if you are in business of any sort, this type of insight will bring a super-power element to your game. You deserve to have this as part of your toolkit. And what’s more, it's really fun, you will be profiling your family members, people in the streets people on tv, everyone!
